American Ballet Theatre: Project Plié
UI/UX, Brand Identity, Publication Design

Role: Designer
Supervisor: Claudia Scaff

Project Plie, the American Ballet Theatre's diversity and inclusion initiative, involves workshops, scholarships, teacher training, and more. Because of the project's breadth, an independent website and fundraising event improves the content's accessibility.

The visual forefront of the project is Misty Copeland, who in 2015 became the first African American ballerina to be promoted to principal dancer, the highest position one can hold in a ballet company. The treatment of type, layout, and imagery stays true to the ABT look, while branching into its own identity, celebrating the diversity, beauty, and complexity of dance.
